The College serves all students regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, age, or physical handicap. Selective placement of individual students in the different programs of study within the College is determined by the Admissions Office, within the guidelines established by the State Board of Community Colleges and the North Carolina Community College System for each program of study and course offered. Admissions Process 1. Complete an application for admission. In order to take advantage of early registration opportunities, new students should begin the admissions process as soon as possible. 2. Complete residency determination on www.ncresidency.org. 3. Submit official high school transcript (or GED/Adult High School) and all transcripts from any schools attended after high school. 4. Take any required placement tests. 5. Meet with an academic counselor to plan your program of study and assist in scheduling your classes. Registration Procedures Currently enrolled students will receive early registration dates and times by mail. Students registering during open registration should begin the admissions process in the Admissions Office prior to registering for classes.
