SCMC Meetings in 2017 Springs Coast Management Committee met seven times in 2017 Following SWIM plan approvals, the SCMC focus has been on identifying FY19 projects eligible for State Springs funding (the last 4 meetings, Aug. to Nov.) Goal was to produce a list of projects for DEP consideration that had been reviewed by the SCMC, then by SCSC and District Project discussions focused on: Pounds of nitrogen reduced (or water saved) Project cost Location

DEP Springs Guidance Provided in Oct. 2017 Guidance on calculating Nitrogen Reduction* Sediment Reduction Quantity of Water Saved Land Acquisition Project selection based upon consideration of the factors above, as well as, readiness to proceed, costsharing and leveraging opportunities. * Based on the methods used by DEP s Nitrogen Source Inventory Loading Tool
