The following information is provided to assist you in making transition from your present position to that of a student at the 4 th BN (GS), 218 th REGT (LDR) Regional Training Installation (RTI).
a. Course Scope: This course is designed to teach skills required of a basic soldier and skills required to perform as a skill level 1 soldier in a Military Police Unit. b. TRAINING YOU WILL RECEIVE IN THE 31B10 MOS-T / PHASE I (1) INTRODUCTION (2) MILITARY LAW (3) LAW AND ORDER (4) REPORTS AND FORMS (5) APPREHEND AND SEARCH A SUBJECT (6) HAZMAT INCIDENT (7) PATROL INCIDENTS (8) BATTLEFIELD FORENSICS c. Military Appearance: Students will comply with AR 670-1 / AR 600-9. Uniform deficiencies will be corrected prior to start date of course. d. Weight: Student s height and weight will be measured during in-processing. Those students exceeding the height/weight standards will be taped to determine their body fat percentage. Soldiers who meet academic course requirements but fail body composition standards will receive a DA Form 1059 with item 13. c blocked MARGINALLY ACHIEVED COURSE STANDARDS, and item 16 containing the statement, 13.c.; Soldier met academic requirements and is eligible for awarding the 31B10 MOS, but failed to meet body composition standards of AR 600-9. e. Physical Health: (See Enclosure 1 for Physical Demands Rating) Students reporting to the 31B10 MOS-T course must be physically fit enough to perform within the guidelines in DA PAM 611-21 for the 31B10 MOS. A physical demands rating of Moderately Heavy is required for students attending this course, with a Physical Profile of 222221. Students that bring Temporary Profiles / Civilian Doctors excuse that will prevent them from participating in the required Performance Evaluations will not be allowed to attend this course. Any students that possess a P-2, P-3 or P-4 on the PULHES will need to bring a DA Form 3349 (Permanent Profile). Students that possess a P-3 or P-4 will be required to bring the MMRB results. Students on medication must bring a sufficient supply to last the duration of the course.

Qualifying Scores: (See Enclosure 1 for Physical Demands Rating) *Soldiers must have a minimum score of 95 in aptitude area ST in Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) tests administered prior to 2 January 2002. *Soldiers must have a minimum score of 92 in aptitude area ST on ASVAB tests administered after 2 January 2002. * Soldiers must have a minimum score of 91 in the aptitude area ST on ASVAB tests administered on and after 1 July 2004. NOTE - ALL STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE A COPY OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS LISTED 1-9 DURING IN-PROCESSING: 1. SECURITY CLEARANCE ELIGIBILITY: Memo from your State Security Manager stating that you have a SECRET or an INTERIM SECRET clearance reflected on JPAS. (NO EXCEPTIONS) 2. STATE DRIVER S LICENSE. 3. EQUIPMENT OPERATOR S RECORD. (DA FORM 348) 4. OPERATORS PERMIT WITH M1025/1026, M1114 AND M1151A. (DA FROM 5984-E) 5. DA FORM 348 / OPERATORS PERMIT MUST REFLECT M1025/1026, M1114 AND M1151A HMMWV. (PH II Only) 6. DEFFENSIVE DRIVERS COURSE CERTIFICATE. 7. PERMANENT PROFILES (DA FORM 3349) P-2, P-3, P-4 ON PULHES. (If Applicable) 8. P-3 AND P-4 REQUIRES MMRB RESULTS. (If Applicable)
9. ANY OFFENSES THAT REQUIRES A CONVICTION WAIVER APPROVAL FROM USAMPS. (If Applicable) NOTE: The Unit of Assignment is responsible for drafting the Conviction Waiver Request. This Request must go through the TAG to USAMPS for approval prior to the course start date. (See Enclosure 1 for Offenses and References) g. Equipment / Uniform Requirements: (See Enclosure 2) - The Army Combat Uniform (ACU) is the uniform for the course. The Patrol Cap is the authorized Head Gear for Phase I. h. Pre-Execution Checklist: Your unit will do the ATRRS PRCL. Also, make sure you have a valid ID Card. SUBJECT: Student Information letter i. Pay: Your unit of assignment will be responsible for ADT Orders and Pay. j. Laundry Service / Post Exchange: Washers and dryers are located on the 2 nd floor of Building 3800 at no cost to the students. There is a PX available on McCrady Training Center in Building 3810. Hours of operation are 1200 hrs to 2000 hrs Wednesday thru Sunday. Sufficient funds should be brought to take care of any foreseen expenses. k. Dining Facility / Barracks: Meal Cards will be issued to students during inprocessing. AGR and ADSW soldiers are required to pay for meals and will not be issued a Meal Card. The Dining Facility is in Building 3800. All attendees will stay in the BOQ/BEQ system. Be prepared to pay for lodging during sign-in. Room rates are $15 $17 a day. Cash and VISA accepted.
