New Operator Member Receives Award The Alabama State Conference of the NAACP announced on October 5th that their awards committee has selected Takers Transportation as their Minority Business Owner of the Year for 2017. The Award will be presented at their 65th Annual Freedom Awards Banquet on Saturday October 21st at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Montgomery, Alabama. I m sure all the members of the TMCA would like to extend their congratulations to Eureka Battie of Takers Transportation located in Huntsville, Alabama for being recognized for such a prestigious award. The Chris Levering Silent Auction for the American Cancer Society This year will mark the 9th year we have held the Chris Levering Memorial Silent Auction and each year we are truly amazed at the generosity of our members to this very worthy cause. In the past five years we have raised over $100,000 for the American Cancer Society, which is, outstanding. As always, the TMCA will match every dollar raised up to $5,000 and with everyone s help, we know we can make a difference. If you would like to donate an item or items, please complete the form and return it to the Patty Levering, no later than January 15th, 2018. We would like to ask that all items be valued at $25 or more. Thank you to everyone who helps to make this event a success each year, as we remember the life of Chris Levering and other we have lost.
