OBJECTIVE Is to establish an effective port State control regime in the Asia-Pacific region through cooperation of its members and harmonization of their activities, to eliminate substandard shipping to promote maritime safety, to protect the marine environment and to safeguard working and living conditions on board

RESPONSIBILITY AND OBLIGATION Avoid inspection which has been inspected by other Authorities within the previous 6 months Inspection carried out by Qualified and Competent PSCOs Endeavour to secure the rectification of deficiencies found If deficiencies cannot be rectified at Port f inspection Authorities may allowed ship sail in accordance of Tokyo MOU procedures to port where deficiencies can rectified. Shall also notify the authority where ship to call If inspection found to be vessel substandard authority may suspend the inspection
