SafETYCOMPASS - DYNAMIC SafEGUARDING in the WORkplACE SH 940 $995 32 Hours Incidents occur in dynamic, constantly changing and often unpredictable environments. Various mechanical and procedural safeguards are used to mitigate the risk of incidents occurring. Such safeguards are necessary and have proven effective; but they are limited by their static nature. These safeguards are usually fixed, non-responsive and slow to adapt, leaving them inherently inadequate to mitigate risks in dynamic work environments. People, on the other hand, are suited to serve as a dynamic safeguard against incidents. When front-line employees see something unsafe in the moment, they are uniquely positioned to stop it and prevent it from resulting in an incident. However, employees often fail to fulfill this role. This training gives participants a thorough understanding of safeguarding issues, presents solutions, case studies and exercises relevant to the ESH field, which will then enable participants to implement solutions within their organizations. SH 950 ASP SAFETY FUNDAMENTALS PREPARATION WORKSHOP $895 24 hours This is a three-day review course for those preparing for the Safety Fundamentals Examination, leading to the designation of Associate Safety Professional (ASP). This course is an excellent review for those desiring to determine whether they are ready to attempt the Safety Fundamentals Examination by identifying areas where extra preparation is necessary. You will become familiar with preparation resources available, learn about certification requirements and scoring procedures, and review content material in an informal environment utilizing a testing format including an opportunity for discussion. Instructor: C. David Langlois, CSP Jul 23-25, 2012 Apr 22-24, 2013 Instructor: Michael Allen, M.S. Participants will learn the fundamentals of the project management framework consisting of project initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure. Through course exercises and scenarios, participants will build skills in assessing and managing stakeholders, identifying and controlling project scope, developing a Project Plan and other critical project documentation, managing risks, and building the project schedule and budget.
