Crown College 2015 Commencement Ceremony Sunday June 14, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. on the UCSC East Field Sige Gutman FACULTY FELLOW FEATURE In this edition, we would like to highlight this faculty fellow: KAREN OTTEMANN for being elected to the American Academy of Microbiology! Mr. Gutman is a Crown alumnus with a distinguished career in intellectual property. He holds a graduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and Biophysical Chemistry and has more than 20 years of industry experience. Cathy Murphy Cathy Murphy has worked at Crown College for the past 3.5 years as the College Academic Programs Coordinator. CROWN STUDENT SENATE (CSS) Crown Student Senate (CSS) is the student governing body for Crown College. Consisting of elected Senators and appointed building Representatives, CSS is responsible for allocating $40,000 of Crown student fees to programs and events across campus that they believe are of benefit to Crown students. CSS discusses and votes on issues affecting the everyday life of UCSC students and serves as the voice of Crown students to the campus student government (SUA) and a variety of administrative committees.
