All-Oklahoma/USA Academic Team Members Andrew Jones Andrew is a sophomore pre-engineering major from Tecumseh. He is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society where he serves as secretary and is also a member of the Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society. Chelsea Olds Chelsea is a life sciences major from Spencer. She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society where she serves as vice president, and is also a member of the SSC Belles basketball team. Professional Staff Scholarship Recipients Terri York Terri is a sophmore student from Choctaw. She is a current nursing major at SSC. Taylor Scott Taylor is a sophomore student from Stroud. She is a current nursing major at SSC. Retiree Rusty Beene NASNTI Professional Development Coordinator Rusty has served SSC for over 20 years. He began in 1992 as the Media Relations Coordinator, and has also worked as Athletic Director, Instructor and Veteran s Upward Bound Coordinator before assuming his current role. He holds a Bachelor of Art in Oral Communications/PR from the Univeristy of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Art in Communications from the Universty of Oklahoma.

Retiree and 20-Year Honoree Dr. Jim Utterback Seminole State College President Dr. Utterback came to SSC in 1997. He is the College s fourth and longest-serving president. Under his leadership, the College has grown tremendously, seeing increases in campus size, academics, athletics and student enrollment. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Psychology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Northern Colorado. 30-Year Honoree Lana Reynolds Executive Vice President Reynolds came to SSC in 1984. She has worked as Director of Public Relations, Assistant to the President, Associate Vice President for Business and Community Relations and Executive Vice President for Institutional Advancement. She will assume her new role as SSC President beginning July 1, 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Oklahoma Christian University and a Master of Arts in Journalism from the Univeristy of Oklahoma 25-Year Honoree Toni Wittmann Administrative Assistant to the V.P. of Student Affairs Toni came to SSC in 1992 as Secretary to the Vice President for Fiscal Affairs. She went on to serve as the Division Secretary for Business/Information Systems and Language Arts and Humanities before assuming her current position in Student Affairs. She holds an Associate in Art from SSC. 20-Year Honoree Sherry Keisman Nursing and Social Sciences Division Secretary Sherry began as a full-time SSC employee in 1997. She has served the College in several capacities, including Title III Secretary, Vice President for Academic Affairs Secretary and Business Division Secretary. She holds an Associate in Applied Science in Office Management from SSC.

Campus Organization Leaders Jeffrey Christiansen Faculty Senate President Jeffrey is an Associate Professor of Government. He holds an Associate of Arts from Flathead Valley Community College, two Bachelor of Arts degrees from The University of Montana, one in History and another in Political Science. He also has a Master of Arts in Political Science from Montana and has completed three years of graduate work in History at Oklahoma State University. Julie Hix Professional Staff President Julie serves as the GEAR UP Director at SSC. She holds a Associate in Science from Seminole Junior College, and both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education from East Central University. Ann Gavin Classified Staff President Ann is the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Division Secretary. She graduated from Blackford High School in Hartford City, Ind., and the American Business College in Fayetteville, Ark. She is a member of the St. Michael s Catholic Church and an OACC Delegate. Taylor McClure Student Government Association President Taylor is a sophomore from Tecumseh and serves as Student Government President. She is also a member of the President s Leadership Class, the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, the Sigma Kapp Delta National English Honor Society and the Psi Beta National Psychology Honor Society.

Outstanding Students Courtney Hendershot Business and Education Courtney is a sophomore from Shawnee. She is a current business major at SSC, with a specific interest in accounting. Melanie Cancino Language Arts and Humanities Melanie is a sophomore from Maud. She is an English major and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Dru Collins S.T.E.M. Dru is a sophomore from Norman and is a biology major. She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and the SSC Softball Team. Sarah Biffle S.T.E.M.-Health Sciences Sarah is a sophomore from Seminole. She is a student in the Medical Laboratory Technology Program. Stephanie Johnson Social Sciences Stephanie is a sophomore from Seminole and is a psychology major. She is a member of the Psi Beta National Psychology Honor Society, where she serves as President. She is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and the Student Government Association.
