Additional IPFCC Opportunities There are a number of ways to engage with us and participate in our community: Intensive Training Seminars IPFCC s intensive training seminars provide three and a half days of comprehensive and practical sessions designed to help administrative leaders, board members, physicians, nurses, staff, patients, and families become effective agents for patient- and family-centered change in their organizations. These faculty-led seminars offer opportunities to examine examples of excellence and innovation in partnering with patients and families. For example, participants explore integration of patient- and family-centered care concepts in safety and quality improvement, patient experience, professional education, and other current priorities in health care. They also learn best practices in specific care settings, and explore strategies to develop and sustain patient and family advisory councils and other collaborative efforts. Each day, seminar participants meet in a small group facilitated by faculty to create an individualized action plan for change in their own organization. For more information, please visit www.ipfcc.org/events/seminars.html International Conferences IPFCC hosts an International Conference on Patient- and Family-Centered Care typically every other year. Presentations showcase innovative and effective programs that are dedicated to partnerships with patients and families to redesign systems of care, change culture, and improve outcomes. The Conference provides a variety of formal and informal meetings, plenary and topical breakout sessions, poster presentations, and networking opportunities.
