AFMAN 36-2203 states that drill consists of certain movements by which the flight or squadron is moved in an orderly manner from one formation to another or from one place to another. But at the JROTC level, drill does so much more. It builds confidence and self-esteem; it instills discipline and esprit de corps; and most importantly, it teaches the value and virtue of hard work. These are lessons developed on the drill floor but which extend far beyond it and develop young men and women into citizens of character. We founded our organization to give back to a community which has enriched the lives of thousands of cadets worldwide through the unique leadership vehicle that is competitive drill. It is our sole desire to transfer the knowledge, skills, and insight we ve gained through our collective years of experience as coaches and mentors. We ve been asked repeatedly, Why would you share your knowledge if it might lead to another school overtaking your own? The answer is simple: Competitive drill is healthier when any number of talented, motivated groups are in top form and in true contention at any given competition. It forces our staff to continue to work hard and innovate to stay ahead of the power curve and ultimately, more cadets benefit from the lessons learned through their involvement on the drill team. We are prepared to bring our considerable collective experiences to bear in support of your unit. Our staff has raised championship programs from the ground up, revitalized and sustained perennial powerhouse programs, and taught drill to cadets of all service affiliations, experience levels, and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are prepared to assist you. Very respectfully, Christopher Borghese, 1stSgt, USMC (Ret) Executive Director, Drill-Team Dynamics Inc.
