Requirements 1) Acceptance to an accredited institution of higher education community college or college/university or Enlistment in the Marines, Navy, Army, Air Force, or Coast Guard 2) Academic Excellence as demonstrated by a high school transcript 3) Demonstrated good citizenship and compassion for others 4) Commitment to serving others demonstrated through ongoing participation in community service activities 5) Financial Need Award Scholarship will be awarded to Recipient at a Captain Harris Scholarship Award Ceremony tentatively scheduled for Thursday evening, June 15, 2017 Application Application must include: A completed Scholarship Application form and Financial statement A High School Transcript A list of community service activities A Statement, one to two typed double-spaced pages that addresses the following: Explain how participating in your high school s JROTC program has influenced your values, career goals, and personal goals, and describe how your values and goals match those of Captain Jennifer J. Harris, USMC. A Letter of Recommendation from a JROTC instructor. Letter of Recommendation must be from a non-family member.
