Summer Activities 2018
After ten months of hard work and studying in school, students will soon get to enjoy a well-deserved vacation. Summer Break for Bay District Schools begins on June 1 st. During the Summer of 2017, Panama City Mayor Greg Brudnicki and Bay District Schools Superintendent Bill Husfelt discussed the need for the City and District to work together to improve student success. A Blue Ribbon Panel was created and recommended the City and District provide opportunities for additional learning time and structured recreation and enrichment programs for students living in Panama City among many things. I have fond memories of my summer breaks spending time with my family, sharing new experiences, and making lifelong memories. It is our hope this brochure can assist in providing opportunities to make this happen for the youth of the City of Panama City. These are just a few of the organizations and businesses offering programs and classes for children within the City of Panama City. We hope to expand the brochure and create a summer tradition. If your organization or business would like to be included in future editions of the brochure, please send your requests and information to pio@pcgov.org. Have a great Summer Break! Sincerely, Jared Jones Interim City Manager 2
