What is the NHS Mior Ailmet Service? The Mior Ailmet Service is a NHS service for childre, people aged60 or over, people who hold a medical exemptio certificate ad people o certai beefits. Whe you are registered for the Mior Ailmet Service, your pharmacist ca give you medicie for a mior illess or complait, if they thik you eed it. You will ot have to pay for this. Who is the service for? You ca use the NHS Mior Ailmet Service if: you are registered with a GP surgery i Scotlad, ad you are uder 16, or uder 19 ad i full-time educatio you are 60 or over you have a valid materity exemptio certificate, medical exemptio certificate, or war pesio exemptio certificate you get Icome Support, Icome-based Jobseeker s Allowace, Icome-related Employmet ad Support Allowace, Uiversal Credit or Pesio Credit Guaratee Credit, or you are amed o, or etitled to, a NHS tax credit exemptio certificate or a valid HC2 certificate. How do I register for the service? The NHS Mior Ailmet Service is available from pharmacies across Scotlad. You ca choose which pharmacy to register with. You ca register at ay time you do t have to make a appoitmet. Whe you register, your pharmacist may ask you for some iformatio, icludig your ame, date of birth ad postcode. They will also check whether you ca use the NHS Mior Ailmet Service ad may ask you for proof, for example your materity or medical exemptio certificate. Try to remember to brig this proof with you. Your pharmacist will complete a form, which you must sig. Your pharmacist will complete a separate form for each member of your family, icludig childre uder 16, or uder 19 ad i full-time educatio. You ca oly register for the service with oe pharmacy at a time. If you register with a ew pharmacy, you will o loger be registered at the old pharmacy. 2 While you are registered for the service you ca still make a appoitmet to see your doctor wheever you like. However, you will eed to go to the pharmacy you have registered with to use the service. What if I m uhappy about the service I have received from the pharmacy? If you ca, first talk to the pharmacist so they ca try to sort out your complait immediately.
