In the absence of the Home Manager to act as a focus on all the day-to-day management issues. To assist the Home Manager in providing support to individual young people having respect for their individuality, privacy, dignity and emotional needs. Assist the Home Manager to assess referrals. nsure that the proper arrangements are made for reception and introduction of the young person. To take action as laid down in the procedure in the event of an emergency, e.g. fire, accident, missing person and to keep and make reports when such action is taken. Be responsible for the administration of medication. nsure the safe keeping of all medicine stored within the home. To assist in ensuring effective communication at all levels within the home. To maintain the rota and assist in the delegation of duties to staff. To maintain all records in the home. To prepare written reports as required. To ensure staff comply with the companies Health and Safety policy. To ensure compliance of all staff with the Regulations of the Food Hygiene General Regulations 1970 and Food Act 1984 and their amendments. To assist in the weekly budget preparation and to monitoring of expenditure as required. To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the keyworker system.
