VISION STATEMENT Virginia Development Academy will be the destination for all soccer players of Northern and Central Virginia. We will identify and help develop a Champions League player.

U-12 (2004-05) ORGANIZATION Game format: 9v9, 2x30 min. halves Rosters: 2 teams per club, with 26 player pool max Game day rosters are fluid, can change weekly to use different combinations of players from the pool Coaching: Minimum license requirements, USSF B License for all Academy coaches and USSF A License for Academy Directors Travel distance: Ideal max travel 1.5-2 hours for games
U-12 (2004-05) FRAMEWORK Training: minimum of 3 times per week Games: one game per weekend during competitive periods Rest: minimum of 2 off days per week Outside Competition: Participation in outside soccer competition is not permitted Participating in other sports is allowed 9.5 month season at U-12 increases the amount meaningful training time

U-13 (2003) ORGANIZATION Game format: 11v11, 2x35 min. halves Rosters: Minimum 16 - Maximum 20 Game day rosters: 18 maximum Coaching: Minimum USSF B License required Training: Minimum of 3 times per week (recommend 4, top players play up with U-14), minimum of 2 off days per week Outside Competition: Participation in outside soccer competition is not permitted Schedule: Follow same season schedule as U-14 Academy (24-30 divisional game)
U-14 (2002) ORGANIZATION Game format: 11v11, 2x40 min. halves Rosters: Minimum 16 - Maximum 20 Game day rosters: 18 maximum Coaching: Minimum USSF B License required Training: Minimum of 4 times per week Outside Competition: Participation in outside soccer competition/training is not permitted Schedule: Follow same season schedule as U-13 Academy (24-30 divisional game)
