Golf Activities 287-1302 After-School Clinics 4:00-5:15 p.m. 7 12-year-olds These after-school clinics allow junior golfers to develop their golf skills during the school year. All clinics are held at the Westhampton Course and are limited to members only. The Golf Learning Center will be used in the case of inclement weather. Call 287-1302 to register. $100/session. tennis activities 287-1300 Fall Programs Your team of CCV professionals is looking forward to teaching all of our juniors how to improve their tennis in a fun and productive atmosphere. Programs are seven weeks, starting on September 14 and ending on November 1. Sign-ups begin on Monday, August 31 and can be made by calling the Tennis Shop at 287-1300. Tiny Tots 5 7-year-olds Monday or Thursday 3:15 4:00 p.m. $147 for 7-week program Tiny Tots will focus on improving eye-hand coordination with these little players while developing basic tennis skills. Fun and games will be the priority. Rally Cats 8 10-year-olds Monday or Wednesday 4:00 5:00 p.m. $161 for 7-week program Rally Cats will be taught all of the major tennis strokes through drills and games. Etiquette and respect for fellow players will also be an important theme in this fun-filled program. Bantam Boys 11 12-year-olds Bantam Girls 11 12-year-olds Tuesday Practice 4:00 5:00 p.m. Thursday Practice 4:00 5:00 p.m. Monday Matches 4:00 5:00 p.m. Monday Matches 4:00 5:00 p.m. $175 for 7-week program $175 for 7-week program In the Bantam program, the staff will work on improving stroke production and footwork. Juniors will also learn how to handle match-play situations while competing for a team and playing on a ladder. Basic rules, scoring, etiquette, and respect for opponents will be reinforced during the program. Tournament Training Team (by invitation only) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Practice 5:00 6:15 p.m. Sunday Matches 1:00 2:30 p.m. One day $182, Two days $322, Three days $483 Our goal for the Tournament Training Team is to provide an opportunity for talented juniors to develop into outstanding tournament players with state, sectional, and national rankings with the future hope of playing collegiate tennis. These juniors will have the opportunity to train several days per week and will be required to play numerous tournaments throughout the year. 4
Junior Halloween Tennis Social Friday, October 30, 4:00 5:30 p.m. Juniors age 4-16 are invited to participate in this special annual event. Players are requested to dress up in a costume in which you can play tennis. Members may invite a guest to participate. Favors, prizes for Best Costume, and a pizza party are included. $12 per person. Sign-up deadline is Wednesday, October 28 at 4:00 p.m. The 48-hour cancellation policy is in effect. Sign up by calling 287-1300. Holiday Programs Keep your juniors active this winter! The skills and objectives will be similar to the descriptions of the Fall Programs on page 5.
