The meeting was also attended by Dr Abdihamid Ibrahim, Health Cluster Co-coordinator-Somalia and various health cluster partners operating in Puntland. Dr Abdihamid had a session in which he provided an overview of the health cluster situation in Somalia. Issues he highlighted include the need to for strong collaboration centered under the leadership of the MoH and that information sharing is an important element in the cluster coordination.

Upcoming Regional Health Cluster Meeting in Bosaso, Bari Region Yesterday, the regional health cluster focal point in Bari region, Mr Habib Shire of Save the Children has circulated the agenda for the upcoming regional health cluster meeting which will be held in Bosaso on 28 th May 2017. Updates on AWD situation As of 22 May, 2017, a total of 7,431 AWD Cases incl. 151 (CFR: 2.0%) have been reported from 14 Districts in 7 regions of Puntland.
A total of 782 AWD/Cholera cases including 10 deaths (CFR 1.3%) were reported during week 20 (15 21 May 2017) in all districts in all affected regions. There is slight an increase in the number of new AWD/cholera cases and deaths reported 782 cases with 10 deaths were recorded in week 20 compared to 724 with 6 deaths were recorded in previous week 19. The highest numbers of the new cases were reported from the following districts: Dhahar, Qardho, Taleh and Buhodle.
