GLOBALMEET RELEASE 4.0 This release includes a major enhancement to webcam sharing, usability improvements, and fixes to issues reported by our customers. SUMMARY OF CHANGES NEW FEATURES AND ENHANCEMENTS You can now show up to six webcams on stage at the same time with GlobalMeet s webcam meeting mode. > Hosts and presenters. Click VIEW WEBCAMS to start webcam meeting mode. > Active talker highlights the video stream of the person speaking. > Full stage view. Click any person s video stream to spotlight it, showing the person full stage. Click again to return to multiple webcam view. > If you re the host or a presenter, you can control who is on stage just point to a video stream and click X to remove the person from stage and stop sharing their webcam. NOTE: The single webcam mode where the active talker is shown in the WEBCAM panel is still available when not in webcam meeting mode. Audio Reconnect. If your audio disconnects for any reason, GlobalMeet opens the Connect Audio window so that you can reconnect quickly. BUG FIXES This release addresses the following issues: Firefox and Chrome. When you enter a meeting URL in the browser or click Connect Me in a meeting invitation, the browsers do not redirect to the GlobalMeet desktop app. Welcome/Sign in page. A web scripting error is displayed and the browser freezes when you enter a long email address or string of characters in the Email/Client ID field. Reset Password. An unknown error is displayed when an invalid client ID of 11 or more digits is entered. Meeting Tracking (Hosts). The Meeting Tracking page is not displayed when the min and max number of digits for Client and Matter Number are set to zero. Internet Explorer 11. KNOWN ISSUES WINDOWS 8.1 AND EXTERNAL WEBCAMS Seen in Internet Explorer 11 and Google Chrome with Microsoft LifeCam USB camera; may affect other configurations. If you are in a meeting and then plug in an external webcam, when you try to share your webcam the PREVIEW WEBCAM list does not find the external camera you just plugged in. Workaround: If you plan to share your webcam, plug in your external camera before entering the GlobalMeet meeting. POSSIBLE DISPLAY ISSUE WITH VIDEO SHARING AND EDGE BROWSER If you are participating in the Edge browser, with some webcams your video stream will be shared with a 4:3 aspect ratio rather than 16:9. In this case, your video panel is displayed with black bars on the left and right sides. POSSIBLE INTERNET EXPLORER ISSUES Vimeo. You may experience issues when sharing a Vimeo web video from the File Library. Workaround: use a different browser to access the meeting. If your screen resolution is 2160px wide or more, the meeting room might not launch correctly from the desktop app. Workaround: set a different browser or reduce your screen resolution. WEBCAM MEETING MODE GlobalMeet can now display up to six webcams on stage at the same time. The Share My Webcam option is now labeled VIEW WEBCAMS. THE WEBCAM PANEL Previously, the WEBCAM panel in the meeting sidebar showed the video stream of the active talker, if the person speaking was also sharing webcam. This view is still available in normal meeting mode. When the meeting is in webcam meeting mode, the WEBCAM panel displays informational messages instead. In normal meeting mode, you can share your webcam and see who is speaking in webcam meeting mode, GlobalMeet displays helpful information. GLOBALMEET RELEASE 4.0 5
SHARE YOUR WEBCAM Click the webcam icon to start sharing your own webcam. Preview your webcam, and then click OK to start sharing with the meeting. GLOBALMEET RELEASE 4.0 6
GUEST VIEW If the host has enabled webcam meeting mode, you can share your webcam. Click the webcam icon to preview your webcam. Click OK to start sharing. Your video stream is added to the stage. UP TO SIX WEBCAMS ON STAGE Active talker is highlighted in the Participants panel and on the stage. Webcam meeting mode is active. Host and presenters can switch on/off. REMOVE A PARTICIPANT If you are the host or a presenter, you can remove a participant s webcam from the stage. The participant s webcam no longer streams to the meeting.
