ELAN Network: European and Latin American Technology-Based Business Network The ELAN Network is a space for collaboration, cogeneration and development of technology based business opportunities between Europe and Latin America. It brings together key European and Latin American research and innovation actors (R&I), who promote technology based transformation processes and economic growth, in order to: Promote the generation of technology based business opportunities (TBBO) between European and Latin American SMEs, linking Research & Innovation with a business model that responds to market demands. Promote the exchange of knowledge, technology transfer and co creation processes to foster the competitiveness of SMEs and an equitable and sustainable socio economic development. Accompany innovative SMEs in their efforts to transfer technology to new geographical markets. ELAN Network Event Lima, Peru, 18 20 November 2015: Technological links LAC-UE for the business development in ICT ELAN Network organizes in Peru an event to know potential demands and challenges in ICT that must be addressed by SMEs in EU and LAC. This event is organized in collaboration with EXPOTIC 2015, which is the leading trade fair in the industry in Peru. Objective: To promote collaboration mechanisms that make possible Technology Based Business Opportunities of (TBBOs) between EU and LAC enterprises focused in ICT, with the purpose of increasing their success. This session will try to address the characteristics of this public demand, which requirements have public administrations, what are the opportunities for SMEs, which are European technologies of interest and how can access European SMEs to offer such customers, in a framework of collaboration between European and Peruvian companies. Debate will be generated on the challenges for these intermediate agents due to expectations from enterprises and public administrations, in the context of the ELAN network.
