Key area of focus: Outstanding service to residents Community infrastructure projects and initiatives: After extensive public engagement, site master plan finalized, design work for south east community centre initiated, former hospital building demolition underway Renovation and restoration of Oakville Arena, new community centre, revitalization of Trafalgar Park and new fire station commenced using integrated project delivery model First creative digital library hub at Iroquois Ridge Library opened 31 kilometres of roadways resurfaced under town s resurfacing and preservation program, and 25 new bus shelters installed Digital initiatives: New Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system implemented for improved customer experience via enhanced online capabilities and enhanced performance reporting Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology implemented in all Oakville Public Library branches leading to self-serve option, with new staffing model to support customer service and outreach Parking pay-by-phone mobile app in Downtown and Kerr Village commercial districts launched Several new web mapping enhancements completed to improve search capabilities and enhance user experience including site upgrades, new applications such as for the development application process, and purchase of new tools A new Accessibility Web Map is underway to help residents navigate and find accessible features within the town ServiceOakville Customer Service Centre expanded to provide additional one window customer support for Revenue and Taxation and Development Engineering services Canada/Ontario 150 celebrated through several initiatives including: expansion of crosstown heritage trail, Canada 150 Mosaic - Oakville's community mural, tale of the town, support to Bronte Canada Day event 2017 RBC Canadian Open supported Corporate inclusion statement and actions for a corporate inclusion plan developed, new community development plan created to ensure recreation and culture opportunities for underserved communities, age-friendly framework and plan presented to Council Improvements to manage infill development such as Good Neighbours Guide and Lot Maintenance By-law complete New, user-friendly public notice sign for development applications created. New notice sign won a Dazzling Award which recognizes excellence in government outreach

2018 key initiatives Community infrastructure improvements: o Complete demolition of former hospital building, complete design work for south east community centre, commence construction (to be completed in 2020), complete tendering of the residential lands on former hospital site and finalize approach on senior s housing component of the site o Open new Trafalgar Park Community Centre and fire hall (Oakville Arena redevelopment) o Renovate Council Chambers in preparation for new ward 7 o Complete Queen Elizabeth Park Culture and Community Centre community kitchen and implement community program plan o Implement North Service multi-use trail from Third Line to Fourth Line with partial funding from the province o Initiate construction of fire station 8 in north Oakville o Open temporary library at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex o Expand incubator library services at Queen Elizabeth Park Culture and Community Centre and add two new incubator locations for library services (locations to be determined) o Resurface 31 kilometres of roadways under the town s road resurfacing and preservation program Construction projects to improve Oakville s road network: o Complete Cornwall Road corridor between Chartwell Road and Morrison Road o Complete Sixth Line from Dundas Street to south of Burnhamthorpe Road o Complete Bridge Road between Fourth Line and Warminster Drive o Acquire land as required, complete design and construction of Speers Road between Third Line and Fourth Line, complete Environmental Assessment addendum with Metrolinx from Bronte Road to Third Line, complete Speers Road Land Use Study Design and construction of projects aimed at improving storm water servicing (pending approval of our application under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund): o Maplehurst storm sewer o Amber Crescent culvert rehab o Flood Study for Joshua Creek and Sheldon Creek o Westminster Drive storm sewer outfall Digital initiatives: o Continue to expand service request types available through online Report a Problem tool o Launch self-serve ride booking capability for Oakville Transit services via website and mobile app o Install video surveillance cameras on all Oakville Transit buses to improve transit safety and security for customers and staff Service delivery initiatives: o Continue to expand ServiceOakville Customer Service Center to departments with high volume interactions with the public o Create internal service hub for citizen contact management activities including quality monitoring (multi-channel) expertise to departments, report production, training, and development of consistent town-wide customer service experience o Implement transit service improvements on routes 1, 4, 5, 6 and continue to expand Home to Hub transit service o Support 2018 RBC Canadian Open
