National Association of Women Highway Safety Leaders 50th Anniversary Celebration Traffic Safety Leadership Conference September 14 17, 2017 Louisville Marriott Downtown Louisville, Kentucky
National Association of Women Highway Safety Leaders Dear Members and Friends of NAWHSL, I was just chatting with Colonel Sanders recently and he was telling me all about Louisville. He convinced me that it will be a marvelous place to hold the NAWHSL 50th Anniversary celebration. You know, we may just have to have some Kentucky Fried Chicken while we re there! Seriously, Louisville WILL be a great place to hold our 2017 Traffic Safety Leadership Conference. The staff of the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety has been wonderful to work with as we prepare for conference. NAWHSL s Conference Program Committee members are all scouring the traffic safety landscape for new and cutting edge information to share with all of you. Thank you to Program Committee members Jennifer Parsons, Cindy McKay and Lori Rice. Y all are terrific! We are meeting our goals for conference programming including Inspiration, Knowledge and Resources. Add to this the joy of sharing the time together and you have a memorable and valuable experience and a renewed commitment to the tasks ahead as we all strive to save lives and prevent injuries on our nation s roadways. YOU ARE INVITED TO COME for renewal and reinvigoration. It s not a spa but it s the next best thing! We add a touch of fun and whimsy with our Thursday night BLAST FROM THE PAST, dressing like the times when NAWHSL was a new organization, and our Friday night dinner cruise on the 101-year -old Belle of Louisville paddlewheeler. You can add more Louisville experiences on Sunday with races at Churchill Downs. Also take in the most famous dish of Louisville, the Hot Brown, a rich and filling open face sandwich that is best made one at a time. I also want to remind you to make your reservations at the hotel as early as possible due to a big football game being in town for the University of Louisville. See you in Louisville! kay@mssafety.com P.O. Box 1379, Clinton, MS 39060 601-924-7815 www.nawhsl.org
