BUILDING AN AMAZING FUTURE FOR ALL OF OUR STUDENTATHLETES
The Canada Topflight Academy's (CTA) goal is to be THE premier academy. We will strive to support and develop elite level basketball student athletes to achieve their ultimate goals in basketball, academics and life. In this, our inaugural year, we will be accepting 12-15 young men who are serious about becoming the best student athlete they can be. The Canada Topflight Academy will select student athletes whose goals are in-line with that of our management team and coaching staff. We will have one team this year providing our student-athletes with a true "family" atmosphere both on and off the court. The focus of the Canada Topflight Academy will be supporting each student athlete academically and athletically to ensure he will succeed at the next level. We will provide a top-notch learning environment thanks to Notre Dame High School and the Ottawa Catholic School Board. Our basketball group will recruit top-end talent. They will be looking for high-end character individuals from Ottawa and around the world to attend the academy. The ultimate goal establishing the CTA culture.
The Founders wanted a name and logo that would resonate and represent the program we are going to build. Canada for a National feel. We are going to represent Canada and feature some of the best talent the country has to offer. Ottawa is too regional in our eyes. When we call teams to play and tournament organizers, we want to have a Big Time reaction to a country moniker. The team may have global representation but we operate in Canada. Topflight for the highest or most outstanding level in achievement and development. Canada Topflight Academy students are in the top flight of their class. For the players Urban Dictionary being of high quality, dope, fresh, sick, fly. Academy for a place of study and/or training in a special field. Our full name will be incorporated but we will also brand the acronym CTA. Pilot wings are an iconic symbol for a sense of elevation, taking flight, the Maple Leaf to represent Canada and of course a basketball for the sport. Primary colours are RED for CANADA, GOLD for the color of CHAMPIONS and BLACK is Leo s favorite color.

Canada Topflight Academy understands that this is a critical component of the decision-making process. We will be interviewing local families and will secure billet families for all CTA student athletes who require room and board. Priority will be given to locale (proximity to school), access to public transportation, as well those families taking in 2 players (easier transition if with a teammate). Canada Topflight Academy will review our expectations and requirements (schedule, meal plan...) and the families will share their rules (curfew, chores...) so there is a mutual understanding. We will ensure all of our billeted student athletes are with compatible families where mutual respect is observed. CTA students families will meet our selected CTA billeted families and make a house visit to ensure they are satisfied with the care their son will receive. CTA Staff will ensure there is good communication between player and family. Any issues will be addressed immediately and responded to accordingly.
