John is a recipient of the John Marsella Humanities Award, the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award, and was awarded a P&G scholarship. John is also a National Merit Scholar. John earned our Mathematics Dept. Award, Science Dept. Award and World Language Dept. Award in Latin which means John had continuous Excellence all Four Years at Moeller in these departments. John received the Presidents Education Award; Ohio Diploma with Honors; member of Varsity Academic Team; Latin Honor Society; 1 st Team All GCAL Academic Team and end of year First Honors. He also has done community service for Matthew 25 Ministries and served as our Academic Team Captain. John resides in Montgomery, and is a member of St. John Parish in West Chester. Proud parents are Thomas Geyer and Therese Rose. Jacob Menke SALUTATORIAN/QUIROGA HOUSE: Moeller s Class Salutatorian received the Rhodes Cambridge Scholarship and will study Biology. Jacob is a National Merit Commended Student; AP Scholar with Honor; member of the National Honor Society; awarded the Case Western Reserve Michelson-Morley Award; Joe Meale Science Award; Cross Country Student Athlete Award; OHSAA Scholar Athlete Award; Grieder Memorial Scholar Award; member of the National Latin Honor Society; First Honors Award every Quarter; Presidents Education Award; Kiwanis Club of Ohio Sixth Division Recognition; 2015 College Hill- Northside Kiwanis Scholar; and Ohio Diploma with Honors. Jacob was a four year cross country team member (senior co-captain) and member of the track team. Nicholas Wright MAN OF MOELLER/TRINITY HOUSE: Nick received the Trustees Merit Scholarship, the Summer Abroad Scholarship, and The Marianist Leadership Scholarship from The University of Dayton and will be study Engineering. He is a recipient of the 2015 Honda OSU Math Medal, The Frederick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony Award from the University of Rochester. Nick also received the Presidents Education Award, Ohio Diploma with Honors, and AP Scholar with Honor Award and a member of the Varsity Academic Team. Nick was President and a 3 year member of the National Honor Society. Nick was school captain, Kairos Leader, volleyball (4 years), Ohio High School Boys Volleyball Coaches Association Scholar Athlete Award 14, soccer (2 years), little buddies, MACH1, National Honor Society Tutor, Latin Club (3 years), and Northeast Community College Coalition (4 years). Austin Sanders QUIROGA HOUSE: Austin received the Singletary Scholarship from the University of Kentucky and will be studying Marketing and International Business. Austin was a member of the National Honor Society, and Spanish National Honor Society. Austin was awarded the Ohio Diploma with Honors, and was Quiroga House Captain all 4 years. He also participated in the Moeller Mount Notre Dame Theater Performances, Back to Back Ministries Mission trip leader and Summer Intern in Mexico, he participated in the Big Brothers Program. His cocurricular activities also included freshman football, freshman and JV basketball and Varsity Rugby. Austin and his family currently reside in Mason, and his proud parents are Steve and Gina Sanders.
Nicholas Fendinger II EVESLAGE HOUSE: Nick received the Red Hawk Excellence Scholarship from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and will continue his studies in English and Psychology. He was awarded the John Massarella Award, the Moeller Academic Department Award for English, was a member of the National Honor Society, also the German National Honors Society, and AP Scholar with Distinction. For extracurricular activities he was on the school newspaper staff, volunteer at Matthew 25, Night for the Flight and Relay for Life participant/leader. Nick resides in West Chester and is a member of the St. Susanna parish. Proud parents are Nick and Sherry Fendinger. Jeffrey Shagena FOUR YEARS OUTSTANDING AND PERFECT ATTENDANCE/PILLAR HOUSE: Jeff will continue his education at the University of Cincinnati. He will be studying Engineering. Nathaniel Fowler TRINITY HOUSE: Nate received a full athletic basketball scholarship and the Trustee Scholarship from Butler University. Nate will be studying Engineering. Nate received the President s Education Award Outstanding Academic Excellence, and the Ohio Diploma with Honors Award. Nate was a 4 year member of the Basketball team, 3 year varsity starter, awarded the 2015 Basketball Man of Moeller Award, 2 nd Team GCL South, Honorable Mention All-City in 12, 13, 1 st Team GCL South, 1 st Team All City, 2 nd Team All District, Honorable Mention All-State 13, 14, Ohio High School Basketball Association Top 2 Point Field Goal Percentage, 13, 14, 2015 OHSAA Courageous Student Award. Nate was a member of National Latin Honor Society, volunteer at Shriners Hospitals for Children and Matthew 25 Ministries, senior Trinity mentor captain, Moeller open house tour guide.
