The University of Scranton honoring Jacquelyn Rasieleski Dionne 89 Trustee,The University of Scranton & John D. Dionne 86 Senior Managing Director, Blackstone Group
P BC PRESIDENT S MEDAL RECIPIENTS The President s Medal recognizes individuals who have achieved excellence in their field and who have demonstrated extraordinary compassion for others. Jacquelyn Rasieleski Dionne 89 & John D. Dionne 86 T he University of Scranton is grateful to celebrate the professional and personal achievements of Jackie and John Dionne. Jackie s career as a critical care nurse spanned fifteen years. John s career includes extensive experience in alternative investments and business development, particularly with financially troubled companies. Together they are generous supporters of Catholic and Jesuit education and of non-profit organizations which work with inner-city public schools and with mother-daughter relationships focused on community support. Their combined service to the University leadership for the past decade and their example of our next generation of alumni engagement make them most deserving of this distinguished recognition. Celebrating its twelfth anniversary, the President s Business Council (PBC) is a national affiliation of alumni and friends committed to strengthening the Scranton network in the business sectors. The PBC has proven to be a valuable conduit for members to become more actively engaged in the life of the University by inspiring our students with the possibility of their success. Proceeds from the Annual Award Dinner go directly to the Presidential Scholarship Endowment Fund, which provides full-tuition, merit-based scholarships to the top students entering the University s freshman class each year. Beyond the dinner, the PBC provides mentoring, internship and career opportunities for current students and regional and national networking opportunities for alumni and friends.
