1 Introduction SUSTAINABILITY Sustainability means different things to different organizations. For The Rotary Foundation, sustainability means providing solutions to the needs of the community so that the beneficiary community can sustain activities after funding ends. Global grant projects must be sustainable and have the following characteristics: Community Needs - The host community and Rotary project sponsors develop projects based on community assessment of their needs and strengths. Appropriate Technology - Project materials are appropriate for the community and, ideally, are purchased locally. Sustainable funding - The community is able to sustain the project without ongoing financial support from The Rotary Foundation or other Rotary sources. Knowledge transfer - The project includes the beneficiaries of teaching how to meet their continuing needs after the project is completed. Motivation - Schools receiving equipment will be able to take ownership of the project upon completion. Monitoring and evaluation - The project includes a measurement plan to confirm a significant improvement, ideally for at least three years. We identified the need for schools by carrying out scheduled visits, inspecting facilities and recording the needs of schools. With the acquisition of the project, the needs of school-age students will be solved to improve basic education and improve pedagogical tasks proposed by teachers. All management and teachers are committed to receive the project because they have been technologically outdated for many years, hampering teaching to school-age students. The project provides training and supervision to teachers and heads of teaching. The school will be cleared after delivery and will not need new Rotary resources, constantly reviewing the equipment according to the training that will be given. The financial resources obtained by the global grant project will allow the use of equipment without the need for repairs and for three years the Rotary Club of Blumenau-Fortaleza will do the necessary maintenance. 24-fev-18 2

FOCUS AREA: - Basic education and literacy Involve communities in supporting programs that strengthen their capacity to provide basic education and literacy for all Increasing adult literacy Work to reduce gender disparity in education Supporting studies related to basic education and literacy by career professionals. INFORMATION This project will present the plans and goals of diffusion of the pedagogical activities of the students in the formation of future professionals and always seeking improvement for the less privileged communities of our city. The pedagogical project aims to create state-of-the-art computer science, projection and audio-visual rooms to enable the most participatory, supportive and ethical school-age student, as well as being able to take advantage of the resources he or she has in a more conscious and responsible manner. The Rotary Club of Blumenau - Fortaleza is the idealizer of this project and enters with its maximum experience in social and humanitarian projects, promoting and encouraging students of school age and adolescents in the socialization and practice of educational and professional activities of audio-visual (cinema, Script, video editing and audio editing). The Partner in TI, invests in the educational and social market because it understands that this is the largest training center for professionals, that tomorrow will be part of the largest companies of audio, video, advertising and design. You will be responsible for installing the computers and performing maintenance and training. Computer Supply will be performed by Pauta Computer, a computer distributor in Santa Catarina. Refrigeration Partner to sell and install room air conditioning and auditorium equipment. The Rotary Club... is our partner in the idealization of the global project with a focus on Education and contributes with its experience to idealize and follow the project, always providing a solution adequate to society's needs. This Global project concept has already been developed and approved by The Rotary Foundation and benefits Schools, Universities and Social Project Centers. 24-fev-18 3

2 Rationale and Necessity The projection and multimedia room project will be executed in a state public school in the city of Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil and will directly benefit about 990 school-age students. It aims to broaden the possibilities of working in the classroom and to bring the functionality to this school environment to improve the education of all children and the literacy of children, youth and adults. The school is located in a community in need of the municipality, where the majority of parents have a family base to provide outsourced services and rely on the school as the great partner in the integral basic education of their children. How will it meet the needs of the community? Estimated beneficiaries. This project will be implemented by the Rotary Club of Blumenau-Fortaleza, which will use its own resources and financial assistance from international partners and The Rotary Foundation through the use of a Global Grant for the purchase of computers and projectors for the installation of equipment in classrooms And for the training of operators. It should be noted that this Rotary Club of Blumenau-Fortaleza carried out an action among friends for the collection of financial resources, which generated resources that have already been used in revitalizing school environments as a new electric grid, which are ready to receive the Equipment to be obtained through this Global Grant. This project will attend in two shifts the students enrolled in this school unit, making possible the active participation of each student in the pedagogical activities prepared by the class teacher and by discipline. In the year 2017/18 there will be groups of elementary students, young people up to the age of 14, and the students of the schools will participate in this room as elementary school students and the program to encourage culture, using this tool for research and Increasing the possibilities of autonomy in the use of projections in the classroom. The project will expand the possibilities for the life of school-age students, expand methodological resources of teachers and create a social space in school communities, favoring integral development. Educational institutions, whether or not they like this paradox, need to educate children with a minimum of structure and assistance from the rulers, and it is up to them to improve the way of transmitting knowledge and reducing differences between existing classes. 24-fev-18 4

3 Goals General objectives Involving the community to support programs that strengthen communities' capacity to provide basic education and literacy; Increasing the adult literacy rate; Reducing gender disparity in access to education; Supporting studies of professionals working in the area of basic education and literacy.
