LEARNPATH THE ST. JAMES S HOSPITAL LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION I am pleased to present the 2017 Prospectus which details the variety of learning and development opportunities being provided for the coming year. The Centre for Learning and Development (CLD) is committed to the provision of high quality short education / training development blended programmes (traditional teaching methods and elearning) readily accessible and responsive to the needs of staff across all disciplines and departments in St James s Hospital. A number of these programmes are also open to Health Service Provider staff within SJH regional and catchment areas. In addition, the CLD provides more advanced accredited programmes in partnership with awarding bodies and third level institutions such as QQI and the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin. In 2016 in order to fully support and underpin the hospital s Learning & Organisation Development; Talent Management; and Succession Planning frameworks, the Centre for Learning and Development launched the LearnPath Learning Management System. LearnPath offers a wide range of features for compliance: blended learning management, HR system integration, training analytics, reporting, skills and competency management, employee development planning and sophisticated learning content management capabilities. Some of the key features of this system include PC, Mobile and Tablet device friendly; Automatic course booking confirmations and reminders; Recertification pathways for refresher / update training; eportfolio My Learning record of evidence and Skills for CPD purposes; Fully customisable dashboards enabling targeted information & learning to specific users; with End user support 365 days per year.
