SUGGESTED TOPIC UPDATES Suggested Topic Updates

TOPIC 1: EXPLANATION / DISCUSSION: PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION: RESPONSE: CSC Slides on Fort Hood Website The calendar and transcript is available for a read ahead but it would be nice to have slides to facilitate information dissemination. Add link to slides on FH website The Fort Hood webpage Community Services Council hot button links directly to the MWR webpage for access to all CSC supporting documentation.

TOPIC 2: EXPLANATION / DISCUSSION: PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION: RESPONSE: Area Beautification Tree trimming units don t have the resources to trim trees in their footprint. Contract tree trimming for the larger trees in the footprint. Limbs impede pedestrian and vehicle traffic and look bad. DPW is responsible for the trimming of trees. Please request this service by calling the DPW 24/7 help desk at 287-2113.

TOPIC 3: EXPLANATION / DISCUSSION: PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION: Dunkin Donuts (DD) Perks/Gift Card DD Perks/Gift Cards are not accepted at on post Dunkin Donuts Adjust the system to allow these benefits to be used at the Fort Hood Dunkin Donuts. Thanks.

TOPIC 3 RESPONSE At this time, no Exchange Dunkin Donuts is able to accept the DD Perks or the Dunkin Donuts gift cards in Micros. We are hoping when the new Point of Sale (POS) systems comes out (dated TBD) that we will be able to accept them. AAFES will follow up and try to get confirmation on if this will be happening with the new POS. The biggest problem is that Target, Walmart and HEB all sell Dunkin Donut gift cards. Fort Hood has the only Dunkin Donuts in the local area. The nearest Dunkin Donuts are located in Waco and Austin.

TOPIC 4: EXPLANATION / DISCUSSION: PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION: Fort Hood Area Military Family Member Scholarship Fund (FHAMFMSF) Applications now available Scholarships available to high school seniors and military spouses. Applications are due by 5MAR18. Go to FHAMFMSF.com for applications and more information. Packets must be complete or will not be considered.

TOPIC 4 RESPONSE: Thank you for informing us about the recommendation submitted on the blue topic card at the last CSC meeting. In the recommendation, the individual suggests we state that the packet must be complete in order to be considered for a scholarship. Although I was confident that information was located in the application and on the website, I doubled checked to ensure that the information was still there. At this time I am unsure how we can make an improvement, but I will bring this suggestion to the boards attention at our next meeting.
