April 20 21, 2018 Rad Onc 2018: Updates in at MD Anderson Cancer Center Mid Campus Building 1 1 MC Conference Center, Floor 3 7007 Bertner Avenue The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Houston, Texas Goal This two-day live activity will present the best practices of at MD Anderson. Many radiation oncologists, oncologists, scientists and trainees are unaware of the current literature and randomized studies that may alter the dose, targeting and technique used in radiation treatment. In addition, many are not familiar with, or have not yet encountered, specific challenges in radiation treatment. This activity will cover the most recent advances in the management of sarcoma, lymphoma, breast, thoracic and endometrial cancers. This activity will also address new radiation therapy techniques used in the treatment of cancers of the CNS, oropharyngeal, oligometastatic, pancreatic and anal cancers. Stump the Sessions will include case presentations on CNS, gastrointestinal, breast, thoracic, genitourinary and gynecologic cancers, allowing learners to interact with experts in those fields. This activity will discuss the observations and current studies underway at the institution, including results of clinical trials. At the conclusion of this activity, learners will become competent on the epidemiology, diagnosis and radiation therapy guidelines and incorporation of systemic therapy with radiation therapy. Learners will gain familiarity to properly assess patients for therapy and utilize new developments and technologies in the delivery of radiation therapy. Educational Objectives Summarize current MD Anderson and NCCN guidelines for radiation therapy for selected cancers (Knowledge, Competence); Evaluate radiation therapy plans to improve patient outcomes (Knowledge, Competence, Performance, Patient Outcomes); and Utilize current radiation therapy techniques in the treatment of cancer (Knowledge, Competence). Target Audience This conference should be of interest to Physicians, Scientists, Trainees, Students, Advanced Practice Providers, Dosimetrists, Therapists and Nurses. Educational Methods Lectures Question & Answer Sessions Case Studies Panel Discussions Evaluation A course evaluation form will provide participants with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program content to their practice decisions, performance improvement activities, or possible impact on patient health status. Participants will also have the opportunity to comment on any perceived commercial bias in the presentations as well as to identify future educational topics.

Accreditation/Credit Designation Physician is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. designates live activity for a maximum of 16.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
