BENEFITS OF A CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP The Biloxi- Gulfport Black Chamber of Commerce (BGBCC) was established in 2013 by local business executives to promote the growth of black and minority owned businesses and organizations in the MS Gulf Coast Region. BGBCC proactively works as a united front that combines resources of surrounding black and minority communities with other organizations to secure solutions for inclusion and expanding of our business and cultural communities. BGBCC immediate focus is to increase Black and Minority presence and participation in the growth and expansion of MS Gulf Coast Region as it expands its business economies. Biloxi-Gulfport Black Chamber of Commerce Making MS Gulf Coast Communities A Better Place for ALL Greetings! On behalf of the Biloxi- Gulfport Black Chamber of Commerce, I would like to take this opportunity to join the Chamber. We are excited to be given the opportunity to introduce you to the BGBCC organization and hope that you will decide to join us. BGBCC advocates and promotes the economic growth and development of Black and Minority businesses and communities in the MS Gulf Coast Region. We are in the beginning stages of building a network of proactive groups, individuals, and business owners who are dedicated to improving economic opportunities and the quality of life within Black and other Multicultural communities. This is a very exciting time to take advantage of the movement by joining us as we rise and take a stand to become a defining force in re-establishing and revitalizing many of our Forgotten Black Communities. Our success depends on our ability to mobilize residents, elected officials, and private businesses in and outside of the community. While many of our Chamber activities and opportunities are still under construction, we need your help not only by joining the Chamber but in volunteering to take an active role in lending your skills, experience and expertise as we move forward in establishing the BGBCC as a premier Chamber and in our efforts to effectively respond to the business and economic needs of our community. By adding your support to BGBCC, you are in essence supporting yourself and your community. BGBCC Volunteer Committees (Please indicate your areas of interest by printing your name and contact information) Business and Economic Development Committee: Examines ways of assisting in the development of new business opportunities and the expansion of existing businesses in the Black community. 9. 10. Membership Community Grows, retains, attracts and recruits quality members for the BGBCC organization and enhances its member benefits. The committee is responsible for outreach to prospective members and the retention of current ones. 9. 10. Public Relations Committee Manages most aspects to publicizing BGBCC and marketing the Chambers programs and services. The committee s most important tasks include promoting BGBCC through print, internet, broadcast, media, producing brochures, newsletters, and other related materials, as well as publicizing events, luncheons, and the annual awards dinner. 9. 10. Program Committee: Supports the goals and objectives of BGBCC by planning and coordinating events, trainings and or/seminars that will benefit the BGBCC membership. The program Committee strives to offer diverse business related subject matters effective meeting formats and relevant educational opportunities to promote the personal, professional, and economic advancement of the BGBCC membership.
