Kick off your first full day on campus with an easy hike through the Landmark campus. Wear closed toe shoes. 9:30am-10:00am 10:00am-11:15am 11:15am-12:00pm Advisor Meetings Location: East Academic Building Classrooms Find out from your advisor how to begin your academic journey and build a strong relationship with them. A list of advisor locations will be posted in the dining hall as well as in the entrances to the East Academic Building. Advising & Registration Location: East Academic Building /Administration Building, by advisor (Only those students who have not yet registered for classes are required to attend) Welcome from Academic Affairs Locations: Credit Partial Credit Language Intensive Curriculum In this session, members from the Academic Affairs Placement Team will welcome you to the college and discuss strategies and approaches for your success this semester. We will review our placement process and inform you about how your schedule was created, based on your academic needs. Learn the ins and outs of your laptop as well as the software platforms that Landmark uses including Landmark Email, Canvas, Moodle, SIS, and Sharknet. This is a hands-on session. You must bring your laptop with you to this session. Living with a Roommate Location: Your Residence Hall It can be challenging sharing a room with another person. Setting healthy boundaries and learning to communicate are important to successfully living with a roommate. This session will help you begin to build the skills needed to be a good roommate. Family Farewell Brunch This is a great opportunity to connect with your family before they leave campus. 1:30pm-2:30pm Diversity 101 Location: Greenhoe Theater, Fine Arts Building Dr. Matos is a Visiting Lecturer and consultant who works with groups to learn how to talk about oppression in a manner that leaves participants feeling empowered to create change. She uses warmth, humor, and her identities as a queer, Catholic, raised poor, Latina with disabilities, to show that we can talk about social identities in a fun and healing way.
