Specialisation: Business Management study programme started in 2011/2012 Description: I cycle (bachelor) study programme in the field of Management offered at the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz is a comprehensive study programme designed to suit the needs of future managers and entrepreneurs. Its duration is 3 years (6 semesters) and it is offered entirely in English. The programme enables students to acquire extensive knowledge in the field of management. Graduates acquire managerial qualifications and skills useful for undertaking a business activity. The programme includes one specialisation Business Management. Its aim is to create high-potential managers capable of working effectively in global business regardless of the situation, business location or culture. Students learn and train how to manage not only functional business areas but, above all, learn to understand and manage processes in a global company. The Faculty offers a wonderful atmosphere for studying and many possibilities of self-improvement. The studies are organised in a form of modules. Each of the courses offered is assigned to one of the modules: Modules A, B and C include courses outlined in the teaching standards prepared by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Modules D and E include courses outlined in the teaching standards prepared by the Faculty of Management for, respectively, studies in the field of Management (Module D) and the Business Management specialisation (Module E). Modules F, G and H, include supplementary courses. The students may choose between different modules in these groups during the course of their studies. Candidate s profile: The study programme prepares graduates to perform as medium- and high level managers in both, Polish and foreign enterprises. The candidates should be open-minded and active. A good command of English is also one of the requirements. Duration and fees: The standard recruitment procedure of the University of Lodz applies to the candidates who wish to undertake the programme. Annual costs of the programme are 3.000 PLN for Polish nationals and 2.500 EUR for foreigners. The EU nationals are subject to the same procedure which applies to Polish nationals.
