As children reach their milestones, their names will be displayed in the Livonia Public Libraries on our walls of fame. Come in and sign up today! Interested Teens can come to our meetings at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the Civic Center Branch meeting rooms. Volunteer credits available. Tuesdays, November 14 and 28 and December 12 6-8 p.m. BREWED IN MICHIGAN Local author Bill Rapai will be discussing his new book, Brewed in Michigan. Beer has become a part of Michigan s identity. In 2016, Michigan ranked fifth in the nation in the number of craft breweries, and tenth in the nation in craft beer production. Craft brewing now contributes more than $1.8 billion annually to the state s economy, and is helping to revive declining cities and invigorate neighborhoods. Due to licensing restrictions, no beer will be served. Signed books will be available for purchase. After the tree lighting, stroll over to the Robert and Janet Bennett Civic Center Library for crafts, refreshments, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
