2. Responsibility and Leadership. Area Health staff To participate in the orientation of new Colac Area Health staff. Comply with all operational data entry and reporting; and departmental administrative duties Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness within the scope of professional practice in order to meet the organisation s goals and priorities. Responsible for clinical area as agreed with discipline senior Task supervision for social work students To participate in the education of students from other disciplines. Identifies issues, considers solutions and presents these to manager. Participates in problem solving and decision making with more senior staff. Participates in specific and delineated projects and activities, which may include leadership in a particular project. 3. Information Management Client documentation will adhere to Medical Services documentation standards guidelines and comply with AH documentation standards. Statistics and data are recorded as per guidelines and within required timeframes. Documented guidelines adhered to. Works to the student supervisor Demonstration of problem solving approach. Person Specification: Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes Bachelor of Social Work or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers Previous experience in a health care setting Demonstrated Social Work knowledge and theoretical frameworks that underpin assessment and practice. Ability to work independently Desire to work in a rural/regional setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in the core competences expected of a Grade 1 Social Worker Excellent IT skills in word processing and data entry Knowledge of relevant community resources and systems.
