WOMEN S CARE CENTER WELCOME TO OUR OFFICE We appreciate the confidence you have placed in us by choosing Women's Care Center. This brochure is designed to give you information about our women s health practice. Please keep this brochure for future reference since it contains information we think you will find useful. PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY The Philosophy of the Women s Care Center is consistent with the mission of to provide comprehensive, cost-effective health care in a caring environment where patients and physicians work in partnership. We are dedicated to providing quality women s health care according to the highest standards. We dedicate ourselves to individualized compassionate care to women of all ages. We practice cost-efficient obstetrics and gynecology through safe, state of the art health care. Our goal is for you to be an active participant in your health care. We encourage you to ask questions and discuss options with our physicians or nurse practitioners. The Women s Care Center of has been a leader for over 50 years in providing comprehensive women s health care in a caring environment with expertise in a full range of services: High Risk Pregnancy Maternity Care Teen/Adolescent Health Family Planning Gynecology Preconception Counseling Gynecologic Cancer Infertility Menopause Abnormal Pap Smears Hormone Replacement Therapy Osteoporosis/ Bone Density Studies Urinary Incontinence Health Maintenance Ultrasonography

ACCREDITED ULTRASOUND LAB Women s Care Center has been awarded Accreditation in ObGyn Ultrasonography by AIUM. The department is one of the first healthcare facilities in North Carolina to earn this recognition. Accreditation indicates the practice has met nationally accepted standards demonstrating excellence in ObGyn ultrasonography. Ultrasound appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Primary care and referring physicians are welcome to schedule ObGyn ultrasounds by calling 910-295-0290. Medical Director: Stephen A. Szabo, M.D., FACOG, FACS FEMALE CONTINENCE SERVICE This service is a multidisciplinary program that evaluates and treats all types of female urinary incontinence. The program offers women multiple treatment options to regain bladder control including urodynamic testing, behavioral modification, bladder retraining through biofeedback therapy, pharmacology, and the most current surgical interventions. Medical Director: William M. Johnstone, Jr., M.D., FACOG, FACS YOUR OFFICE VISIT Your time is valuable and we are committed to a schedule that runs smoothly. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete any administrative details. It is important to note that emergencies and births are unpredictable but common to Obstetrics and may delay your scheduled appointment with your physician. If you need to reschedule your appointment our staff will be happy to assist you. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please notify us as soon as possible by calling 910-295-0290.

OFFICE HOURS Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For appointments, please call 910-295-0290. Should an emergency arise after office hours, patients are advised to call FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital at 910-715-1000 where our Ob-Gyn physician on call can be reached 24 hours a day, every day of the year. NURSES TELEPHONE LINE You may consult with one of our Registered Nurses by calling 910-295-0290 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. If the nurses are not available, please leave a message including your name, date of birth, and phone number, along with a brief description of any problems. The nurse will return your call as soon as possible. If you are calling regarding a prescription, please leave the name and phone number of your pharmacy. During evenings, weekends, and on holidays, the doctor on-call does not have immediate access to your records. Therefore we are not able to refill your prescription during these times. Calls after 4:00 p.m. for prescription refills will be handled on the next business day. PAYMENT Our payment policy is a necessary part of assuring the resources to maintain this important health care facility. Fees for services are based on the cost of the procedures and the amount of professional time involved. Our business staff will be pleased to talk with you about the fees. Although we file your insurance as a courtesy, a payment is requested on the day of your visit. You may also charge your fees onto a Master Card, American Express Card, Discover, or Visa Card. In times of medical emergencies or extended medical problems you may establish a payment schedule to pay your bill. You may call our Patient Services Representative to make arrangements for payments at 910/295-0290. Please bring your insurance card with you!

The Women's Care Center of Pinehurst Office is located just off the Pinehurst Traffic Circle adjacent to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. Our office is located on the first floor to the right of the reception area. Parking is free.
