405 th AFSB, LRC Wiesbaden Arranging Household Goods Shipments: As soon as you receive your Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders, you should start your move process. Requesting your pick-up and delivery dates as soon as possible will ensure a better chance of getting the dates you want. All DOD service members and civilians, including their families have two avenues to manage their move based on local policies: The First is the traditional visit to the local installation transportation office to receive a relocation briefing and start the move process. The alternative is to use the Defense Personal Property System (DPS), which is accessed through the website: www.move.mil. This website is the portal of DPS and the one-stop shop where members can completely manage their move process. 11

Directorate of Emergency Services Vehicle Registration You must ship your vehicle and clear Vehicle Registration before you can clear the Provost Marshal Office and Customs. You must turn in your U.S. Forces license plates prior to clearing vehicle registration. When clearing you may request to be issued U.S. Forces shipping plates valid for up to 90 days, but not to exceed your current registration expiration. These plates are to be hand carried to the U.S. and used until U.S. registration is obtained. Personnel who abandon their vehicle in Germany will be charged with criminal offenses and may incur vehicle towing, storage, and destruction fees. DO NOT wait until the last day. Your failure to plan is not our emergency. 14

Wiesbaden Veterinary Treatment Facility Veterinary Treatment Facility Normally open 0800 1600 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Closed on all Federal Holidays. Half day hours on the last working day of each month for inventory. Care for routine visits, sick call exams, and pet health certificates. International health certificates only good for 10 days from date of issue. Valid Pet Passports for travel within Europe must be done by a German veterinary clinic. Surgical or dental appointments not available. Pets are seen by appointment only. Wiesbaden Veterinary Treatment Facility Veterinary Treatment Facility Pets PCSing to CONUS USA only require current rabies vaccine and a health certificate within 10 days of travel. Pets PCSing to other countries may require more. Korea and Hawaii require blood tests and it can take months before the animal can enter the country. If you are out-processing the VTF and are transferring ownership of your pet, you must have a pet transfer document signed by you and the new owner in hand at time of out-processing.
