WHAT S THE PURPOSE? 1. Community Broadway Presbyterian Church- they offer many community services like a soup kitchen, free medical care, and more. 2. Main Issue Energy boom is sweeping the globe. NY has a social responsibility to take a stand against inefficient energy use. Specifically, Harlem has many old building with wasteful energy systems. 3. Our Mission To improve the energy efficiency of the community via energy auditing. We will help these institutions implement more sustainable, energy efficient, and cost effective systems.

INTERNATIONAL PROJECT Tadazna, Nicaragua

WHAT S THE PURPOSE? The community is in a large area and many families lack access to clean water sources. Our solution: Provide information on safe methods to clean water Give families access to clean water year round Education on how to maintain implemented systems Number of people directly affected: 127 Number of people indirectly affected: 193 Our Partners Bridges to Community Mentors: professors and professional engineers

FINANCE COMMITTEE ACCOUNTING CORPORATE RELATIONS GRANT WRITING

Finance Accounting Use your organizational skills to be able to manage the multiple accounts of EWB Corporate Relations Forming connections with professionals outside of school to increase awareness of the club, to network, and be able to highlight our great qualities and gain donations Grant Writing Currently working to apply for grants regarding our international project Available roles Will need grant writers for international project

Finance ACHIEVEMENT We were able to win $1000 for our projects all through our Year-End Fundraiser Campaign through EWB-USA, which awarded us an extra $1000 for most donations of all the chapters!

WHY SHOULD YOU GET INVOLVED WITH FINANCE COMMITTEE? Work with professionals, present to potential sponsors/donors, partnerships and connections Be able to write convincingly (writing is an important skill in any career) Develop cost estimating, budgeting, organizational, and professional skills

WITHIN THE BORDERS Northeastern Regional Conference Yearly event where all EWB chapters in the area gather to discuss their projects and share ideas Hanging Out Whether it s in the office, volunteering in local communities, or in the mountains, we re a family We re constantly doing social gatherings
