Tuesday s game marks the first time this season the Golden Bears will face an AP Top-25 opponent. Cal has been ranked No. 24 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll each of the last two weeks. Tuesday s contest marks the fourth meeting all-time between the Bears and Sooners. Cal leads the series 2-1, though Oklahoma prevailed in the last meeting, an 86-75 victory on December 13, 2008. At 10-0, the Bears are off to the best start in program history and are one of only 10 undefeated teams left in Division I women s basketball. Senior Courtney Range - second on the team in both scoring and rebounding had a season-high 28 points in Monday s victory over Southern Miss, and is now just 17 points shy of reaching the 1,000-point milestone. Sophomore center Kristine Anigwe, the second leading scorer in the Pac-12, added 18 points in only 20 minutes of action against the Lady Eagles, going a perfect 7-7 from the floor. Oklahoma is 8-2 on the season, winning three straight after suffering back-to-back losses to No. 17 Kentucky and Oral Roberts in early December. Anigwe scored her 50 points in just 24 minutes of play. is averaging 23 points per game this season despite playing only 26.2 minutes per game. Her rate of 35.1 points per 40 minutes is the second-highest by any player in Division I this season, trailing Maryland s Brionna Jones by one-tenth of a point. has won 14 consecutive non-conference games, a streak that dates back to December 6, 2015. The Bears are 19-2 in non-conference since the start of last season, one of those losses coming in Las Vegas to then-no. 10 Texas A&M. Courtney Range enters Tuesday s game with 983 career points, 17 shy of becoming the 27th member of Cal s 1,000-Point club. Range played in her 100th career game on Dec. 11 vs Lehigh and is averaging 14.1 points per game on the season. Entering Tuesday, the Bears are one of just 10 teams in Division I women s basketball that remain undefeated on the season and the third unbeaten in the Pac-12.
