Perinatal Summit Obstetric and perinatal care in Northern is unique. In many other states, as well as in southern, rural areas exist around a center urban population areas. The initiative focuses on the four Perinatal Periods Risk (PPOR), which all have a direct impact on infant morbidity and mortality. The Regional Perinatal Summits for Northern Lower bring together pressionals from the region to disseminate information about evidence-based best practices, regional approaches, perinatal programming information and future regional initiatives. The goal our perinatal summits is to continue the work necessary to provide every patient in the northern Lower region, the same quality perinatal care no matter where they are cared for. This particular summit program aims to update regional providers on the many factors surrounding the use substances during pregnancy and engage a broad range stakeholders in visioning for an excellent integrated and coordinated approach that will deliver the best interventions and support for pregnant women in northern lower.
