Studying in Germany Application and Admission Depending on the institution and your country of origin, there are two ways to apply for admission to a German university: In most cases: Direct application to the university Application through uni-assist (a service centre for German universities) www.uni-assist.de; uni-assist service fees: 68 Euro for first application, 15 Euro for further applications Application deadlines mostly 15 January, 15 July, but attention: deadlines may vary!!! Visa application with the Deutsche Institut ( 在台協會 ) in Taipei after receiving offer from university (plan for approx 6 weeks) Studying in Germany Page 16
Studying in Germany - Costs Tuition fees General tuition fees of up to 500 per semester for the first degree programme in some of Germany s 16 states Semester contribution of up to 200 per semester (administrative costs, student union contribution for student dining, sports, cultural events and a semester ticket) Studying in Germany Page 17 Private universities/business schools do charge tuition fees.
