Joint Chamber events ring in the new year BREAKFAST WITH SECRETARY DAVIN OF PA DCED Secretary Davin of PA DCED spoke to about 100 people on developing early learning as an economic development strategy at a Breakfast Event held at Park Inn by Radisson on Jan. 23rd COMMISSIONER MEET-N-GREET Mercer County Commissioners Boyd, McConnell & McGonigle addressed about 110 people at the Commissioner Meet-N-Greet held at the Mercer County Career Center on Feb. 3 rd. SHENANGO VALLEY & MERCER AREA CHAMBER RECREATION & BUSINESS EXPO Shenango Vallley & Mercer Area Chambers joined forces for the first annual Business & Recreation Expo held at the Park Inn by Radisson on Feb. 11 th. There were 43 vendors and approximately 750 visitors throughout the day. Page 4

PREMIERE ART SHOW WINNER There were six potential designs for the GJR Sculpture Project, created by the MHS art classes, on display at the high school on Monday, January 23 rd. After the votes were tallied, the final selection was made and the design below is the winner. The mock-up will be sent to GJR and the fabrication process will begin. Upon completion, the finished sculpture will be placed in a location on the high school property. Stay tuned for updates!
