It s Time The North Carolina Chapter of SWANA is holding its Annual Equipment/Truck Road-E-O on May 18-19, 2018, in Raleigh North Carolina hosted by City of Raleigh, Republic Services, and Waste Industries. Road-E-O information may be accessed on the NC SWANA web page at www.ncswana.org. Questions regarding Road-E-O registration should be directed to Marcie Smith @ (704) 922-0267 and/or John Pfleger (919) 201-3033. Contestants representing public and private waste collection agencies will be competing for top driving, operating, and mechanical honors. Drivers are required to maneuver competition vehicles through a preset course, and mechanics are tested in areas of troubleshooting and diagnostics. All categories are judged on accuracy and time. 2018 NC SWANA Road-E-O winners will receive trophies, cash awards, and recognition as being the best of the best in North Carolina! First and second place winners will be eligible to go to the SWANA International Road-E-O to be held in Denver, Colorado. The company sponsor of the first place winner is required to submit the request for reimbursement. Participation in the International Road-E-O is not required; however, those who wish to participate in the International Road-E-O will be responsible for the balance of expenses. The Awards Ceremony and Banquet will begin at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19th at Road-E-O Headquarters, Embassy Suites Hotel in Cary, North Carolina, with trophies, cash awards, door prizes, and a dinner buffet with a wide variety of food.
