There were three date options as follows. TEGA Labor Relations provides a series of monthly webinar training sessions for HR Business Partners to stay informed of current and changing employment laws. Best practices are discussed and HR Business Partners then share this topical information with their Executive Teams. All TEGA employees play a part in ensuring that our workplace is free of discrimination and harassment. Indeed, TEGA is committed to providing all employees with the necessary tools and information for maintaining a workplace that is harassment free. Therefore all employees were required to participate in an on-line training course. Please allow approximately 3 to 45 minutes to complete the course. Everyone was given 6 days from January 9, 7 to complete the course requirement. On April 7, 7, one of our Mornings Anchors spoke to students at Charles Patterson Middle School Career Day in Killeen, TX. Station participants included our Station Manager and ews Director who distributed information about the station and career opportunities in broadcasting. On March 9, 7, our ews Director spoke to broadcasting students at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. She spoke about the station and careers in broadcasting, She also participated in a Q&A session with the students about story ideas, journalism, and her career path. On April 9, 7, The SEU participated in the Bloomin' Temple Festival hosted by the City of Temple held in Downtown Temple, TX. Station participants included our Marketing Director who distributed information about the station, current community outreach activities, job opportunities, and careers at the station. On May 8, 7, the SEU participated in the Ronald McDonald Golf Tournament at the Clear Creek courses on post at Fort Hood, TX. Two of our Anchors severed as greeters for the event and spoke to participants about the station and career opportunities in broadcasting. The Human Resources Director attended the HR Summit in McLean, VA for two days with a focus on transformation. The summit was full of interactive sessions, breakout groups, entertaining presentations and more. One of our Anchors spoke to a group of High School editors who are seeking a career in journalism. She spoke about the station, her career path, and job opportunities in broadcasting. On August, 7, the SEU participated in Hood Howdy- A ewcomers Information and Mini Career Fair on post at Fort Hood, TX. Event attendees included soldiers, military spouses, and eligible family members. Station participants included our Marketing Director who distributed information about the station, job opportunities, and careers in broadcasting. On August, 7, the SEU participated in the Temple ISD Convocation held at Temple High School in Temple, TX. The ews Director and one of the Anchors spoke to the entire Temple ISD Faculty and Staff about the current Social Media landscape and the challenges they face with students and the local community. They also spoke about the station, their careers paths, and community outreach activities. The ews Director and Marketing Manager distributed information about the station, community outreach efforts, job opportunities, and careers in broadcasting. On October 3, 7, one of our Reporters spoke to the ational Association of Black Journalists at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. She discussed post college job skills, interview tips, the station, her career, and different career paths in broadcasting. She also discussed navigating the ever changing broadcast and journalism industry. On ovember, 7, the SEU's HR 6 Business Partner conducted training for the hiring managers entitled "The FCC's Equal Employment Opportunity Rules". The training session covered the FCC s equal employment opportunity rules, outreach activities, reporting and filing requirements. On ovember 9, 7 the SEU attended the Temple Rotary monthly meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn in Temple, TX. Our Director of Marketing spoke about the station and current outreach activities including those that affect the local Military community. Event attendees included students looking to network with business professionals. Station participants included our Director of Sales and Local Sales Manager who distributed information about the station, job opportunities, and careers in broadcasting. On February, 8, the SEU participated in Hood Howdy- A ewcomers Information and Mini- Career Fair on post at Fort Hood, TX. Event attendees included soldiers, military spouses, and eligible family members. Station participants included our Marketing Director and three Evening Anchors who distributed information about the station, job opportunities, and careers in broadcasting. TEGA rolled out the Byte Back Challenge training curriculum to educate all employees on the proper handling of sensitive data. Among other things, the training reminded employees that information that is private to you or to the company should never be stored on your computer or mobile phone and should not be shared through email.
