FACT (Fenland Association for 01354 661234 Community Transport Ltd) Website: www.fact-cambs.co.uk Dial-a-Ride - offers a 6 day-a-week pre-bookable scheduled service operating throughout the Fenland area, serving Benwich, Christchurch, Doddington, Elm, Gorefield, Leverington, Manea, March, Newton, Parson Drove, the Tydds, Whittlesey, Wimblington, Wisbech and Wisbech St Mary. Dial-a-Ride provides a door-to-door service for people who are unable to access public transport either due to age, disability, mobility, or living in an area with limited or no access to local bus routes or no access to a car during the day. Dial-a-Car - this is a pre-bookable service which can be used by and individuals who have no access to transport services. This service can be used to visit friends/relatives or medical appointments. Minibus Hire Both FACT and Peterborough Dial-a-Ride have wheelchair accessible vehicles from 4 seats plus 1 wheelchair to 16-seat minibuses. Community groups and clubs, as well as not-for-profit organisations, can hire these vehicles with a driver supplied. In addition, FACT provides Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) driver training, which has been developed to promote and establish a single national standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers. Their Trainer is able to assess and train minibus drivers, equipping them with the necessary skills to handle a minibus safely and confidently, with the needs of passengers in mind. 3
