North Atlanta Band Camp Welcome May 31 st 2011 Dear Parent and Students, I trust that you all are gearing up to enjoy your summer vacations and getting ready for some well deserved rest and relaxation. As we all know, the summer flies by and before you know it, its time for Band Camp. Enclosed you will find information pertaining to Marching Band Camp and the upcoming Marching Season. It is absolutely crucial to the development of our program that your child is in place for all of band camp. I am asking that if you could plan any summer activities and vacations around these dates the best you can, it will greatly appreciated. However, I am aware that many of you have your plans in place so I ask if you could please let me know of any dates the student will miss. In order to assure your child has a safe and productive experience please read through the contents of this packet carefully. There are forms that include medical information, schedules, parent meetings, payment information, and tentative trips and costs. Please make every effort to begin paying dues immediately. Past balances carry over and if your child is a Senior, the balance becomes an obligation in order to participate in graduation activities. We understand the difficulties that many families are having but in order for this organization to run effectively, we must have student s money accounted for. We will work with you and help you with a payment arrangement if one is needed but it must be honored. We will have fundraisers in place specifically for dues and that information will come out during camp. Please remember, a partial payment is better than no payment. This camp is very physical in nature and will require long days outside. We will do our best to monitor the condition of all of the students but it will help if you encourage your child to become active now and not wait until camp. Start drinking plenty of water and begin some type of workout regimen. We want this to be a very positive and rewarding experience for the students and parents and look forward to seeing you at the start of camp. --Adam Brooks Band Director
