ONLINE COURSES Course codes ending in ON or ONP signify online courses. Online courses are conducted through the College s learning management system. All courses are conducted online, except for science-based courses. All science-based courses meet on campus ( ON for Quincy campus and ONP for Plymouth campus) for laboratory work. LIFELONG LEARNING HEALTH & FITNESS CENTER (QUINCY CAMPUS) The Health & Fitness Center provides fitness programs and research studies for adults within the South Shore area. The major purpose of our fitness programs is to reverse the key problem associated with the aging process by remodeling muscle, recharging metabolism, reducing fat, and regaining functional abilities. Our programs typically involve approximately 30 minutes of strength training, 20 minutes of aerobic activity, and five minutes of stretching exercise. Our state-of-the-art facility features new Nautilus machines, new cardio equipment, and excellent instruction/supervision by qualified fitness professionals. In addition, all participants may receive regular body composition and blood pressure assessments in our fitness testing office. Semi-Annual Schedule Cost $250/January 1st June 30th Quincy College Student Cost $50/January 1st June 30th Annual Membership Cost is $475/July 1st June 30th TEAS TEST PREPARATION (QUINCY CAMPUS) The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is required for entrance into many nursing programs, including the Quincy College Nursing programs. The TEAS Test Preparation is comprised of four classes: Reading, English Usage, Mathematics, and Science. These classes are intensive reviews for students preparing for the TEAS test. Students can choose to take one class, a combination of classes, or all four classes. Students should already have basic skills of English and Math. Certified Nurse Assistants provide basic care for patients in hospitals and residents of long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes. Learn skills and techniques to help meet patients physical and emotional needs through classroom teaching, skills lab training, and hands on patient care. Hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living and healthcare organizations are looking for CNA s able to care for those who are ill, injured or disabled and to work with a diverse population in a variety of health care settings.
