TEAMBUILDER Masonic Village at Elizabethtown Employee Newsletter April 6, 2018 Blessing of the Hands

Single sign-on (SSO) What is it? Single sign-on through Office 365 uses one username and one password to access your computer and many applications, such as email, calendar, SharePoint, Kronos, RemedyForce, Mimecast and others. Improvements continue to be made to reduce the number of passwords you need to remember and how you access the applications you use every day. More applications will continue to be added to SSO. Office 365 email shortcut is changing! The Office 365 email shortcut will have a name change and a change to what will be displayed when you first log in. The name will be changing to MyApps. Instead of opening directly into email, it will open to a web page with applications that you have permission to use through the Office 365 SSO such as email, calendar, SharePoint, Kronos, RemedyForce, Mimecast and others. Individual shortcuts will be removed for these same applications from your computer desktop to clean up the clutter. Self-service password reset Over the next few weeks, you will see a new functionality rolled out. This will enable you to change your password or unlock your account, without having to contact the IT Help Desk. We hope this new function will make your work day easier when you have issues with your password. What s Next? Keep checking your email for updates on these exciting changes! Remember, it is very important to log out of any open applications or lock the computer screen before you walk away from the computer device you are using. This will keep others who do not have your same permissions from accessing private or restricted information. For computer related issues contact the IT Help Desk at 717-367-1121, ext. 33109 or helpdesk@masonicvillages.org. Running and Walking Local Events Starting a running program is a great way to improve your health and well-being - and it s easy! All you need to do is put on some shoes and go! You may want to ease into it to avoid injury and gain confidence. Join the Masonic Village Running or Walking Club, or choose from a list of training programs at the level right for you. Register for a walk or running race, and give yourself 6-12 weeks to prepare. Contact Lydia Greinermiller at the Baird Wellness Center at ext. 33783 to help you achieve your goals. On Sat., April 14, there will be an event at Masonic Village: Knock Out Parkinson's Disease 5K Run/Walk. For more information about this event, click on this link. Additional running and walking local events can be found on the Intranet.

To prepare for this new system, current policies will be migrated from the Intranet to ConvergePoint. Staff will have access to policies on the Intranet throughout this transition. The Policy Management team will be working with departments to help with this new system. Specific training schedules will be communicated to directors, managers and support staff.

Congratulations! The annual Flyswatter Madness tournament was played on March 12-16 with 10 resident teams and eight employee teams. The road to victory was hard fought, but included a lot of good humor and laughing. Many matches had nail biting finishes that came down to the last swat! Clinching the 2018 champion resident title was the Blue Birds and the staff champions are from the Finance Services team, "The Fundangos!" Pictured (sitting, left - right): Michelle Torzewski, accounts receivable coordinator; Natasha Buitrago, medical assistance coordinator; and Kelly Musser, billing support specialist. (Standing, left - right): Kristie Atkins, resident services liaison; Holly Herr, resident income coordinator; Korrine Schaefer, Medicare coordinator; Sally Caskey, billing manager - Medicare/commercial; Brenda Spence, director of resident accounts and Robin Cicero, accounts payable coordinator. Thanks to all the teams and players for another fantastic Flyswatter Madness Tournament. See you again in March 2019 for some more MADNESS! Open Enrollment is a time when full-time and part-time regular employees can enroll or make changes to the following voluntary benefits: Accident Plan Pays cash in the event of an accident to help cover out-of-pocket expenses. Coverage is available for employee, spouse and unmarried dependent children. Critical Illness Insurance Pays a lump sum for cancer, heart attack, stroke, kidney failure or organ transplant. Includes an annual cancer screening benefit for covered employees and spouses. Identity Theft Protection Protects, monitors and restores identity better and cheaper than most plans. Automatically includes employee, spouse and minor children. Legal Services Plan Gives access to primary law firm and network for free or discounted services. Automatically includes employee, spouse and unmarried dependent children. Short Term Disability Supplement Helps fill gaps in employer-provided short-term disability for additional protection. Coverage coordinates based on length of service with Masonic Villages' plan. Whole Life Insurance Guarantees level rates, permanent coverage and interest bearing cash-value. Coverage is available for employee, spouse, children and grandchildren. Benefit Services Representatives will be on site during the Open Enrollment period to introduce you to the coverage, answer questions and provide enrollment services. Your manager will notify you of meeting times. For more benefit and rate information, you can visit the Intranet, pick up brochures from your Human Resources office or go to www.benefitsservices.net/masonic-villages. Reporting Reasonable Suspicion of a Crime Under the Elder Justice Act All employees of Masonic Villages have the following responsibilities and rights under federal law: If you reasonably suspect that a crime has occurred against a resident or person receiving care at the Masonic Villages, including the Home Health and Hospice programs, you must report that suspicion to the police and State Survey Agency or to your supervisor. You or your supervisor must make the report within two (2) hours after you first suspect that a crime has occurred if the suspected crime involves serious bodily injury to the individual or within 24 hours if there is no serious bodily injury involved. Masonic Villages cannot punish you, or otherwise retaliate against you, for reporting your reasonable suspicion of a crime against a resident or person receiving care from this facility. You have the right to make a complaint to the State Survey Agency if Masonic Villages punishes you, or otherwise retaliates against you, for reporting your reasonable suspicion of a crime against a resident or person receiving care from this facility. Please see the employee bulletin boards or refer to the notification in Workday for the procedure and necessary telephone numbers.
