The Hospitals of Providence is accredited by TMA to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Hospitals of Providence designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The presentations, Update on Hospice and Palliative Medicine (Day 1) and Update on Electronic Health Record (Day 2) have been designated by The Hospitals of Providence for one credit each of education in medical ethics and/or professional responsibility. Nursing: The Hospitals of Providence is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association Approver, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation. This activity provides up to 12.5 contact hours for the entire conference. Attendance will be verified through sign-in rosters at the beginning of each conference day. Nursing participants will be eligible to receive partial contact hour credit. To be eligible for partial contact hour credit the participant must attend a minimum of one conference presentation in its entirety per day and complete the evaluation for those presentations attended. Contact hours will be verified when the evaluation is received. There will be no mailing of certificates.
