USERS PROGRAM SAS GLOBAL FORUM 2016 IMAGINE. CREATE. INNOVATE. April 18 21 The Venetian Las Vegas, NV sasglobalforum.com #SASGF
Welcome to SAS Global Forum 2016! We have all heard the saying, What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, but I hope that s not the case with this year s forum. Rather, I hope you gather and take back many insights that you can apply in your job or academic studies. This year at SAS Global Forum there are nearly 550 sessions and 350 hours of content. From getting started to advanced sessions, there is content to help you in your area of expertise. You can learn with fingers at the keyboard in Hands-On Workshops, listen to a tidbit of information in a Quick Tip, hear more detailed information in a breakout, or have the opportunity to Ask an Expert for more clarification. You can even attend the inaugural Student Symposium presentations on Tuesday morning and see how students are using SAS in innovative and creative ways. You won t want to miss the excellent keynote presentations we have for you, including Susan Cain, the co-founder of Quiet Revolution and best-selling author; entrepreneur, author and Silicon Valley executive Ben Casnocha; and David McCandless, information designer and best-selling author, who champions the use of infographics and data visualization. And don t forget networking opportunities. There are various mixers, social media outlets and activities in The Quad during the conference. You can connect with, meet and get to know your fellow SAS users. Our largest event will be the Kick Back Party at Brooklyn Bowl. It will be a fun evening, including bowling and a live concert by Capital Cities. To make the most of your experience, I encourage you to plan your own agenda and attend as much as you can. If you can t fit something into your schedule, don t worry. Many presentations will be video and audio recorded so that you can take advantage of the content following the conference. As well, the proceedings of SAS Global Forum give you a wealth of knowledge and are great resources. I want to thank our sponsors for being a part of this event. Please visit them in The Quad to learn about the products and services they create to add value to SAS software. I hope you enjoy the conference and make the most of your experience so that you can return home and imagine, create and innovate new ways to use SAS. Sincerely, Jennifer Waller Conference Chair SAS GLOBAL FORUM 2016 2 USERS PROGRAM
