WSR board will be referred to the 21st Century Foundation. Westport Rotary District Managed Grant: Steve Lewine Rotary International will not allow financing of construction under global grants. NicaPhoto does not have the funds to put roof on the classrooms recently built by Westport volunteers. Our district currently has $4,700 left in the fund for new district managed grants (which do allow financing of construction expenses). In order to obtain the full amount of matching funds available, Steve requested that we participate in their district managed grant application for $2,200. The Westport Rotary Club will privately raise all the monies necessary and will donate the $2,200 back to Westport Sunrise Rotary. Eileen proposed/liz seconded a proposal that Westport Sunrise Rotary participate in Westport Rotary Club's district managed grant for NicaPhoto, by signing the grant application, with the understanding that the $2,200 in privately raised funds will be donated back to Westport Sunrise Rotary Club. Motion carried (14 yea/1 nay).
