IN THE 2016/2017 ACADEMIC YEAR WE AWARDED OVER $5 MILLION TO MORE THAN 4,000 DESERVING STUDENTS THE AVERAGE SCHOLARSHIP VALUE IS $1257 AND COVERS APPROXIMATELY 25% OF A STUDENT S TUITION WE RECEIVED OVER 19,000 APPLICATIONS AND ADDED 174 NEW AWARDS IN 2016/17 I should apply for everything Only apply for scholarships and bursaries you are eligible for. Go for quality, not quantity. Award criteria varies so read each award fully to ensure you are including the appropriate information in your application. So much money goes un-awarded The Scholarships and Bursaries Office is accountable to donors to ensure all awards and money is disbursed in a timely and appropriate manner. It is extremely rare for money to go unawarded. Watch Taylor s story at nait.ca/taylor Receiving scholarships took a huge weight off my shoulders.
